Want to be published by Virgo eBooks Publishing?

What types of books do you publish?

We love stories – real or unreal. We will consider most genres, topics or formats. We’re looking to work with authors who love stories as much as we do, who are passionate about the art of storytelling, and who are willing to actively promote their work.

Virgo eBooks Publishing is a digital-first publisher: our titles are simultaneously published in both ebook and print formats using print-on-demand and online channels which distribute internationally. We only print what we need, where and when we need it, to reduce our carbon footprint and to minimise our overheads, meaning we can give opportunities to a greater number of authors.

What don’t you publish?

Virgo eBooks Publishing will not, under any circumstances, accept or review submissions with any of the following topics or elements: graphic or eroticised incest/rape; necrophilia; pedophilia; bestiality; erotica, fetishes or porn; or anything that encourages violence, hate or racism. No exceptions.

We’re currently  looking to publish self-help titles, faith-based books and children’s titles (picture books or chapter books for readers under 10).

Do I need an agent?

An agent is not required; direct submissions are very welcome.

Do you pay an advance?

At this time we are unable to pay an advance.

Do I have to pay any fees to publish with you?

If we offer you a publishing contract, there are service fees involved for those authors who decide to self-publish and need a little help.

How do I submit my manuscript to you?

Virgo incorporates green business practices as much as possible, as we are all too aware of the amount of paper waste that is produced by the book publishing industry. Therefore, we do not accept paper submissions, and you should submit your query via e-mail.

Please ensure you include a cover letter, full synopsis and a detailed bio with your submission. Incomplete submissions will be deleted unread.

Only submit queries for manuscripts that are completed and polished, formatted in Times New Roman, 12pt, single-spaced in Microsoft Word format. Use indented paragraphs, and page breaks between chapters. Minimum word count is 20,000.For any other formats, please detail in the message body.

We don’t need your entire manuscript straightaway, just the first three or four consecutive chapters of your book will do nicely.

We aim to get back to you within 3-7 weeks of submission. Unfortunately we’re unable to provide feedback if we decide to pass on your manuscript.

“You can feel lonely, desperate, depressed, sad, but never beaten. You may loose, make mistakes, suffer, but you may never think to quit. Remember, when necessary, that you are strong, that there are things no one can do better than you. See life through the eyes of a winner. Accept what’s to be accepted and move on. Clench your teeth, tell what ails you to the tree next to you, learn from it to stand up and… return back to life.” The Red Tulip is the symbol of all organizations that fight Parkinson Disease. This eBook brings together the experience of several Parkinson patients and presents various ways of tracking down and treating this disease. The eBook cannot replace medical visits and specialty treatment, imperative to each patient, because every case is different, but it shows extra ways of treating the disease.

Top Wings and Bottom Wings

Top Wings and Bottom Wings

by Abbey J Andersen

20120705-193229.jpg

Abbey J Andersen and her children story: Top Wings and Bottom Wings is the first author we published at Virgo eBooks.
We knew about Abbey’s drawing talent for a while now, but the real surprise came when we have read her story about the Hopperoon and the Flutterfly, that meet in Top Wings and Bottom Wings.

This is a perfect bedtime story with amazing illustration by Abbey. The ebook looks it’s best on the new iPad, but can be read and seen on any device that supports the Kindle App.
The drawings give life to amazing landscapes in both day and night time and present the Hopperoon with his bottom wings and Flutterfly with his top wings, and the adventures they go through, exploring eachother’s worlds.
The first reviews on the book encourage us to keep publishing and to publish more from Abbey’s work.
Go to the Kindle store to see the book and on amazon store to buy it for just $4.99 in the US.

German, French, Spanish editions.
